Airplanes

He told me he was a pilot taking me to places unknown. More than 30,000 feet, I can elevate your mind he said. He told me he was a pilot of heights unthinkable, places yet unseen, and thought unheard of. As I spread my wings, he teased me with his words, he ran his hand through my hair, he whispered in my ear his dreams for us,and like a silly stewardess I believed him. They say too much knowledge is a bad thing, but with too little, like Icarus, I crashed and burned.
