Trains

I smelled your scent on the train today.
That particular scent that only lovers know.
My heart rate picked up, my hands got a little shaky.
My lungs contracted.
I was breathless at the thought of you.
Sharing my space again, breathing the same air.
Close enough to touch.
I looked around, went from one end of the train to the other.
Funny how ephemeral things can seem so permanent.
Looks like I missed my stop.
